Araña (Poema)
Araña
Patricio Escobar
At first it was a kind of punishment
For trying to invade my space
I'd keep you as my personal prisoner
seeing how you'd live in my maze
In time you became a new being
The creep of the begining changed
To my eyes you were scary no longer
Seeing you move everyday was great
From invader you went to a friend
A mate who was home everyday
Never asked or complained for anything
Only waited for me to be there
But one day I noticed you distant
You were cold and were quiet in the room
And I thought I had been such a bad guy
Hadn't given any good in return
So I tried our thing to survive
Tried to feed you just as I got fat
But it was late, you were weak
And the desperate love strike was too hard
I did wrong to you worse than I could plan
And I got hurt for being such an ass
Now you're gone and I miss you so deeply
want you back everyday after class.
